Wartime Nickel

Is a 1942 Wartime Nickel worth anything?
Haha I went on a silver quest through my change jar and sadly only found one coin of note. A 1942 wartime composite nickel. I know its a wartime nickel because of the large minting stamp above the dome on the reverse. So whats it worth?
Melt value, (Value just of what it’s made of) is about $2.30 but you should include what mint marks are on it, and what type of condition it’s in for an actual appraised value. Or bring it in to a local coin store, they’re usually more than happy to appraise it (And usually pretty realistic too)
