where to buy greek gold/silver coins?

am looking at collecting gold/silver greek coins. so far ive only found this site ( http://www.electacollections.com/ ) and looking at their prices…they are ridiculous.
does the national bank of greece or the greek mint sell these coins directly to the public? maybe they have a website you can order from (like in the usa they have www.usmint.gov and in canada they have www.mint.ca)

many thanks!
vergina; well if see your coin on electa you can get an approximate value of what its worth. you can also check ebay to see what theyre going for. if all else fails, weigh them (assuming theyre 24K gold)…at $1500 an ounce (31.1 grams), you’ll know what AT LEAST the gold in them is worth.

Coins apart from their face value have an added value depending on the number cut, on the theme they represent and their availability.
Euro coins are easy to find in different collectors offers. The same applies for Drachma coins.

However, there were very few coins minted in silver and almost none in gold. At least of the modern coins. And those are commemorative. So their numbers are limited.

Ancient coins are illegal to trade in any form.

In e-Bay there are some for sale but I wonder how original and not fake they may be.
