Uncirculated Special

Are there anything special about the 1967 Jefferson Nickel?
I have been collecting for about 3 years and this coin jumped out at me. It is not only the condition which is almost uncirculated but it also appears incredibly sharply detailed. The coin also sounds different when lightly dropped on a hard surface(I know not the best way to check but an old habit when finding silver coins.) I have searched online and found several others with similar observations of the same year. Most of the time these are answered by people saying that it must have been in a collection for a while or it was buffed. I have inspected and know that this coin was not buffed and because of the large reports of this one year I find it hard to believe it is due to a collector that hoards 1967 Nickels just to spend them years later. There is no mint mark but it appears to have a strange tint to the whole coin. Any answer to this would be greatly appreciated
It may have come out of one of the Special Mint Sets (SMS). There were no proof sets issued from 1965-1967 because circulation coinage was in short supply (because all the silver coins were rapidly disappearing). To satisfy collector demand, higher-quality mint sets were made these three years. An SMS nickel will have sharper detail than the average business strike.
The strange tint you refer to is probably just how the coin has toned over time. Depending on how coins are stored or what environmental agents they are exposed to, they can tone a variety of colors.
No coins from 1965-67 have mint marks. It’s impossible to know which mint struck this one.
