Brand new MacBook Pro keeps making a “drum” alert noise?
It’s not the default error / alert tone, as I checked that by typing random characters in a Find search box on an internet web page, obv. the word wasn’t found and the default noise was heard, it’s not the same.
This drum noise is happening, seemingly randomly, even after reboots.
Batt is full.
Any ideas? Thanks.

The only time I get that, is if there is an alert window open, and I’m trying to do something else. Alert windows don’t like to be ignored.
Something wants your attention. Next time it happens, look to see if any application icons are bouncing in your dock. If so, click on the one that’s bouncing. See what it wants.
