Surgical steel, stainless steel, or sterling silver for a three week old tongue piercing?

the place where i got my tongue pierced gave me fake jewelry (made out of nickel) and i think i might be allergic and I need to change it ASAP… which one should i change to? Surgical steel, stainless steel, or sterling silver?

A lot of sterling silver contains nickel (unless you are in the U.K., where I believe it has been banned). Stainless steel is the same way. I have a pretty severe nickel allergy and have never had a reaction to surgical steel, after a period of 15 years or so, in various body parts. I would recommend surgical steel.
