Question about Isreal/Hamas conflict?
Ok so I was very pro-Israel for defending its territory by bombing Hamas head quarters in Gaza. But after listening to other peoples views, it seems clear that this tactic will not work in destroying Hamas. For example, Israel tried to destroy Hezbollah by military means and yet, Hezbollah just came out stronger after the war. Hamas cannot be destroyed by military means, especially since Iran is backing them up with weapons and financial support. Oh and I also saw in the news that the average age of a person in Gaza is 17. Israel dropping bombs on Gaza is just adding to the hatred of these young people against Israel and creating more terrorists for future generations.
What do you guys think?
So you were/are pro-Israel for defending their territory. But the people in the Gaza strip can’t defend theirs? What about the Israeli settlers that have moved into the Gaza strip and set up compounds on illegally taken land and defend that stolen land with machine guns? So the people in Gaza should just allow that and not be able to defend themselves?
What we are comparing is apples to oranges, it is like the US fighting a war against Bora Bora. The people in Gaza mostly throw rocks and have no military might. You complain that Iran supports them, well at least someone does. Israel is supported by the US, but you don’t see that as a problem, so why would Iranian support be a problem to people who have nothing and Israel is trying to perform genocide on?
