Struck Error

Counter-Strike Source Error? HELP!!!PLEASE!!!?

i bought counter-strike source and installed everything and downloaded the updates and once i click launch on Steam an error message pops up saying “Counter-Strike:Source-hl2.exe Application Error” then a bunch of random letters and numbers……what does it mean and how do i fix it…
