How do you replace the pull string on a ceiling fan light?

My son pulled his light string completely out of the switch and after taking out the globe covering the light, it is obvious that it fits into something that rotates and turns on the light, but what isn’t obvious is how to get me replacement cord into this little gadget. Does anyone know how to do this?? THANKS!!

Most of these kind of switches are not made to be taken apart and repaired but they can be replace fairly simple.
The light kit part of the fan has three small screws that hold it in place remove these three screws and you will be able to get to the switch to replace it you can buy the switch at any Menard’s or Home Depot or practically any hardware store.
Always be sure to turn the power off before attempting any repairs.
