My Goldfish has white/silver type powdery spot on skin near it’s dorsal fin?

The spot looks white and then also looks silver. It has a powerdy type of look and also looks silver and shiny, as I mentioned. It depends on the angle you look at it from I noticed. Why has that happened?

If it’s one spot, a little fuzzy looking, it’s a fungus.
If its a lot of tiny spots, like grains of salt, that’s ich.
There are treatments for both of those available at most pet stores.

If it’s just a lighter-colored scale or splotch, though, that’s normal for goldfish. They tend to get spots of different color (usually lighter) as they get older.
