Silver Standing

What is the history and value of a Silver Bride’s Bowl Stand?
The stand has a cherub on either side of the base, each of their hands are bound behind their backs in chains and while their hair is fine, their features almost appear african american. The bottom is stamped Meriden B Company & has the number 1756 on it.
A meriden sugar bowl pattern number 1764 is on ebay and currently selling at $499. It seems reasonable to assume that your piece is slightly older and probably more intricate so I would guess it would be more valuable.
I would suggest you took it to at least 3 antique dealers and asked their views on it – 3 because that way you are more likely to get a reasonable answer than just going to one.
