Silver Minnesota
What did I just see in the sky? 9:00 Pm Minneapolis, Minnesota.?
I noticed something in our sky at about 9pm. It appeared to be a jet plane or something, but then I realized that its velocity was too high, not to metion it’s altitude. It was silent. The fuel burn off was much too fast, and instead of leaving white streams behind its path, it appeared more silver. About 5 minnutes later I noticed another one heading in a different direction. They were fast, high and appeared to be heading out of our planet rather than accross our sky!
Did anyone else see anything tonight? Is there a launch pad to the West of the Twin Cities? Was it a schedualed event? Could it have been a missile?
At 9:15 p.m. the Iridium 5 satellite flared over the Minneapolis area due East North-East at about 66 degrees up, shining as bright as Venus, maybe that was it? The trail is actually an optical illusion.
Try this tomorrow (Jun 26) at 10:54 p.m. due North East at 38 degrees elevation it will not be as bright but will be similar. If it is then now you know if its not then let us know?
