exchanging hardrives in macbook white and macbook pro (silver key) is it possible?

i have a late model 2008 macbook white with 120 gb of memory, and i just bought a used macbook pro, the first generation with the silver keys, i was just wondering if i could just exchange hard drives? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

it’s possible, but i wouldn’t recommend doing it yourself, take it into a apple store, they can transfer the data within 1/2 an hour (if you used up all the space) or they can physicly move it if you wont miss your mac for about a week
