How to convert a one sided sound mp3 file to two sided sound?

Hello, I am having issues with some of my mp3 files. For certain mp3 files, only one side of the speakers work. Is it possible to convert a one sided sound mp3 file to both sides? The original mp3 file was converted from a video. While playing the video, I was able to adjust the setting so that both sides of the speaker works. However, the file is still orginally a one sided sound file. Thanks for any advice

You can convert mono audio files to stereo by copying the audio track to both sides (e.g. left to right) in an application like Audacity, but you will lose the stereo effect of the sound. Depending on the music, you will also lose some of the finer sounds, since some songs are recorded with certain sounds going to either the left or right channel, not both.
