Australian Open 2010 predictions?
Personally I think Federer will beat Nadal in the final.
Nadal will wipe the floor with Murray in the quarters (should Murray make it that far). Then Nadal will beat Roddick (who will have beaten Del Potro in the quarters).
Verdasco is looking excellent, but Davidenko will just overcome the big hitting Spaniard. Federer will beat Davidenko in a close 4 set match, then in the semis beat Novak in 3 tough sets. Maybe 4. (Novak will have beaten his 2008 rival Tsonga in 5 sets. Unless Tsonga can turn it on like he did in 2008′s qtrs and semis, in which case he will win.)
Nadal being a bit down on match practice most of last year, and Federer having plenty of motivation, will beat Nadal in 4 sets. Although Nadal is looking good, don’t discount a win for him!!
Ach, I can’t choose a best answer, they are all good in their own way (apart from the prediction that Monfils might win, he’s already lost! 
), and only time will tell! I’ll let the public vote.
I think the scenario you’ve described is a very real possibility but I’m tipping against the grain this year.
I think Davydenko will beat Federer in the quarters, then beat Djokovic in the semis and make it to the final.
I’m going with an upset win by Murray over Nadal in the quarters, Roddick to beat Del Potro in the quarters, Roddick to beat Murray in the semis and Roddick win the final against Davydenko.
I’m tipping similar upsets in the womens. I think Clijsters will be in the final beating Henin in the quarters and Safina in the semis. On the other side I’m tipping Venus to beat Wozniacki in the quarters and Serena to beat Azarenka in the other quarter final. I’m tipping Venus to upset Serena in the semi’s and make it to the final against Clijsters. Clijsters will start favourite but I’m tipping Venus for a surprise win.
