Why not go to Canada and see the Calgary Stampede events?
Now if you have never heard of the Calgary Stampede let me sum it up for you as many others have before me. Truly the Calgary Stampede is one of the greatest outdoor shows in the world. And guess what, it will be running this year for ten days starting on the 3rd of July and finishing on the 12th.
Starting in 1912 the Calgary Stampede has become world renowned for its original and world famous events. This once a year show brings the whole world a great array of different performers and original events. Although shows like the Rodeo’s were mainly known in Texas or America in general, they have been a big part of life in Canada. Chuck-wagons are basically about four horses strapped to one cart with a driver. Dangerous would be a good way to describe this sort of event, although it works like other races do, there is potential for injury when you mix races with animals.
The Grandstand at this event is amazing as well. World famous performances are in abundant amount at the Calgary. Famous figures like William Shatner have even made an appearance at the Calgary Stampede. Canadian holidays have become even more popular because of this event.
This place is anything but Dull, especially when you look through the brochure to find a show on the Grandstand stage called the “Wheel Of Death”. Now you know its got to be good. In basic terms, this wheel has several other wheels attached to it which are fitted in places, enough for an acrobat to fit inside. The circular wheels are spun using the acrobats own personal body weight, they also perform stunts while moving.
So visit Canada and embark on an adventure, try an Alaska cruise and sail through Canada into Alaska.
