Rolls Presidency

Rouse Faces Difficult Task As Fresh White House Chief Of Staff
Senior White House adviser Rouse has been announced as the successor to Rahm Emanuel as White House chief of staff. Rouse has built a reputation as a behind-the-scenes facilitator, about 180 degrees opposite the hot-tempered Emanuel, who’s leaving Washington to pursue his dream of becoming mayor of Chicago. The consensus in political circles is that Rouse has taken on what could be an unrewarding headache for the remainder of Obama’s term if Republicans come out ahead within the November elections.
‘Anti-Rahm’ is Pete Rouse’s nickname
Pete Rouse was introduced by Obama as a “skillful problem solver” when his appointment as interim White House chief of staff was declared Friday. Sheryl Gay Stohlberg said that Rouse wasn’t known by anybody within the White House although decisions were affected by him. Stohlberg is of the New York Times. Stohlberg wrote that “Rouse is the anti-Rahm.” Emanuel liked everybody knowing that he was great and doing good for the country. Rouse, on the other hand, is more reserved and does things nobody notices. Former Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle had Rouse on his chief of staff previously. Right before this position, Rouse was in charge of Obama’s senatorial office. He moved with Obama to the White House as a senior adviser referred to as extraordinarily close to the president.
Hard job to fill within the govt
It appears like Pete Rouse has a lot to do with his new job. It has got to be hard taking over Emanuel’s job. The White House appears to be going via lots of stuff right now which leads Dana Milbank to say that Rouse had “the worst week in Washington.” She is from the Washington Post and said this before he even got assigned to the job officially. Rouse is “stepping to the most difficult job in government at one of the toughest times imaginable.” That is what Milbank believes. November elections aren’t looking really good for Democrats. Republicans will probably take over many seats. Obama is going to have a very challenging time getting things rolling for the next two years.
Palin getting angry already
Pete Rouse has already done something wrong. That is what Sarah Palin thinks. As soon as the rumor of Rouse replacing Emanuel came up, Palin beginning tweeting all sorts of innuendo, accounts Cable News Network. CNN accounts that Palin said Rouse maintained his voter registration in Alaska so he could collect the state’s yearly dividend. But Rouse’s name does not appear on the Alaska Permanent Fund dividend records. Palin’s accusations were called “fairly silly,” by Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary. I found this here:
