Please don’t suggest any typical Classic Rock bands. I have heard them all.
The classic rock artist I’d recommend the most is Badfinger. Next to the Beatles and only the Beatles, Badfinger was the best-selling artist on Apple Records. Sadly, that doesn’t even help them get any recognition for their musical talent. Anyway, some of my personal favorite albums of Badfinger’s would be HEAD FIRST, WISH YOU WERE HERE and MAGIC CHRISTIAN MUSIC but, in all honesty, I like all of their albums. Do keep in mind that some of Badfinger’s albums are hard to find in stores and some are even out-of-print like HEAD FIRST which was only released back in 2000 (though it was originally supposed to be released in 1975 until the death of Pete Ham).
Another classic rock band I’d highly recommend is Mountain. Like Badfinger, Mountain is very underrated. Their lead guitarist/singer, Leslie West, also has some great solo work including a blues album that I want very badly. Sadly, I don’t have any albums of Mountain’s so I can’t recommend any particular albums, but their song “Mississippi Queen” surely is a classic!
For some classic rock southern style look up Molly Hatchet. They have that Lynyrd Skynyrd-type southern rock and they’re from the 70′s as well. Some people claim that Molly Hatchet is a rip off of Skynyrd but, if you ask me, they’re drastically different.
