Reverse Struck

Reverse fault with an East-West Strike?
Say you have a reverse fault and it has a east-west strike. The downthrown block is on the south side of the fault. What direction would the fault plane dip be?
I was thinking it is on the west side because the dip of the footwall is facing west.
the dip is perpendicular to the strike. so if the strike is east-west the dip must be north or south. The block that has moved is in the south. That implies the dip is also to the south
