Red Beautiful

I received an amaryllis for Christmas ,it had beautiful red flowers on it?

but now all that is left are these very long leaves on it , I really hate to trow it out, the bulb is healthy ,so I need your help on this,do you save it? Is it possible to get it to bloom again? if so what is your suggestion to keep this plant alive.

don’t water it often ~ let the soil get very dry in between or the roots will rot. I’ve had mine for almost 7 years. Sometimes it blooms, sometimes it doesn’t but it’s green and fresh and healthy.
