What are the colors of the rainbow?

My 6 year old was watching The Magic School Bus cartoon and the lesson was on the SIX colors of the rainbow. I always knew of seven colors, Roy G. Biv for the colors of the rainbow. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. This show left out Indigo. Has anybody else heard of indigo no longer being a rainbow color? I cannot find it anywhere. Thank you.

I don’t know why, but it was left out on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as well. I suppose it’s too close to blue for most children to call it a different color, even though the human eye can detect over six million distinct colors.
