Quarter Mirror
Quarter with a hole in it, what to do?
I was counting my coins I have in a container that I put in everyday before I go to sleep and I noticed a quarter with a small hole in it, like someone has drilled a hole in it. I know that it is illegal to drill a hole in coins and stuff but I was still wondering if it was ok if I put it on a string to put it with my keys or even hang it on the mirror in the car… Or am I better off throwing it away?
P.S.
I have no intention of using it with the string on a vending machine or anything like that lol, and sorry if this is the wrong place to put this question but I have no idea where this falls under…
You said quarter so it must be an American coin. Well there is actually no law that says you can not drill a hole in it and wear it. The law on defacing coins has to do more with doing so, to defraud people. Don’t worry the secret service will not be knocking at your door unless you decide to make your own quarters.
