How do christians come up with bible verses?

to fit every situation? They just seem to pull random phrases out of their a*ses and put some bible chapter behind it and expect it to have any kind of merit. Do they have some kind of method for filing away different labels of bible verses such as: “Proof god exists” “Disproof of [insert scientific theory here]” “[insert other incompetent label here]”

There’s are many reasons the Bible was written, friend; i do believe (pun intended) that you’ve bumped up against one of them-in order to share the Good News of Christ with other people! to do that, Christian must be able to address the situations and questions we face-a 10 page tract could not possibly fit the bill! many of us use a concordance, or a computer program that performs essentially the same function; others have studied the Bible long enough that they know right where to look. as for me, it’s a combination-i look to what Christ taught, and then to what his disciples and early church leaders taught to the various churches that started Christianity. we are a technologically superior society, but as a species we are not any different from the early Christians-right is still right, wrong is still wrong, and we still go thru the same moral and social struggles
