what can I do to show proof that I did receive my high school diploma?

I attended college back in the year 2000 and now I attending a different college that is asking me to show them my high school diploma which I misplaced I called the high school they said they do not save copies but they can send the college my transcripts or give me a letter saying I graduated and received my diploma, but if the college is receiving my transcripts from the other college wouldn’t that include the high school transcripts also including that I did receive my high school diploma.

If your college is receiving transcripts from your past college, that should show all of your educational accomplishments to the point where you stopped going to college. So, yes, it should be enough to show you graduated high school. I would just leave it at that unless they ask for more. If they do ask for more proof, then go with having your high school take all those extra steps. You should be good after that point.
