Are Bald Eagles endangered?

I know bald eagles have been endangered before, but I am not completely sure if they still are. I am doing a research paper, so if you have a answer please have some kind of proof to back it up.
Thanks

The eagles have come back! Took a lot of work and concern, but the success rate has been great. Now lets hope it stays that way and continues to grow. It’s up to use to keep the populations going. Up where I live in the north woods, you’ll see man made nests up on the high posts to provide places for eagles to nest along with the osprey which we continue to with the fight to increase the size of the osprey population.

With the continuing population growth and more cars on the highways, we must all play a part in saving the eagle population. Eagles are opportunists when it comes to feeding. They will eat dead deer (that’s a whole other story) laying on the sides of the roads. If you’re going to drive cars then part of driving those cars is taking responsibilities to be aware and learn what’s going on around you. Car comes by which eagle is feeding, gets scared and suddenly takes off right into someones wind shield, because eagles are such big birds they need more room to get off the ground. Who do we put the blame on, the eagle for being there. Yes we all get our surprises, but one has to keep their eyes moving every three seconds watching for the unexpected.

We also have our wild life center that takes in injured animals of all kinds and that includes bald eagles to do what it takes to save all animals and re-release back into the wild. There’s nothing more beautiful to see then a bald eagle released back into its own environment. If impossible to re-release it stays at the shelter which is now his new home. Well taken care of, large cages (hate the word cage) and big enough for them to fly if they can. It’s a round the clock job, mostly from the kindness of the volunteers and begging for money for expenses needed to keep going.

In order to keep our eco system in order it takes every ones help and consideration for our beloved wild life. Yes the eagles are flying and lets hope they continue to fly. I love it every time an eagle lands on one of trees looking to catch a fish. It’s even better when you see them catch one.

I do believe the bald eagle may be off the endangered list, but are still doing the counting. Get in touch with the DNR and you will get much more info that you will need for your research. Couldn’t see why you couldn’t make an appointment with the DNR for an interview for further info. Other wise you can just go to any DNR facility and check it out.
