Bezel settings are a type of collar that wraps around the stone. They are useful if you have an active lifestyle as they tend not to catch too much to items of clothing. This is because there is less protruding from the actual ring.
Prong settings are the most popular for diamond rings as they are designed to show off the diamond as the main centrepiece of the ring. Prong settings stick above the diamond.
Invisible settings can also be used to make the diamond appear larger than it actually is. They are designed to fit on the side of the band while the channels are hidden below the stone.
Combining the diamond with the setting
To achieve the ideal look you want for your engagement ring, it necessary to match your chosen diamond with the right type of setting.
