What kind of pine tree am I talking about?

I want to plant a specific kind of pine tree in my yard and I have no idea what the different kinds are. So let me describe it. It’s the kind that have the long needle things and when the needles fall off the tree, they cover the ground like a brown carpet. What is this tree?
