What is a good song as an audition piece for a high school musical?
I was thinking of something in the style of Gilbert and Sullivan, I did the Major General’s Song last year, considering Sighing softly to the river, but open to any suggestions. I have a baritone range.
The musical is “Annie, Get Your Gun”, but that doesn’t really matter.
Hi! Im going to give you some tips….
1. No matter what anyone says, don’t sing a song from the musical your doing! If its the leads song, then your coming out saying, i didn’t knoew what to do… and you seem to much like i want this, people may get scared!
2. if the Directors sre “older” do a song from a musical. Like “maybe” OR you can do a song from a composer, they like that! Ex. George gerwin
3. if the directors are in thier 20′s or 30′s do a newer song… they are pretty up to date!
