What things in a house costs the most to run on the electric?
We have a key meter and already have spent £35 on the electric for the week… were now on the emergency and have only pennys left!!
We dont get paid till monday either!! I have a 1 year old so we really need electric for the heating, for the fridge etc
What do I do?
We have no money and I can’t ask my family or friends
- the dryer uses a lot of energy
- the fridge also uses a lot of energy.
- i believe the washing machine also uses a fair amount of energy
tips:
- turn off computer when not in use, or put it in “sleep” mode
- only use the dryer for things that you absolutely need to dry. for the rest, dry them on a drying rack
- don’t leave the fridge open for longer than necessary
- when you bake in the oven, bake many things at once (eg. don’t bake a pan of muffins on monday and another on tuesday…bake them together on monday!)
- turn off lights and TV when not in use
