Lewis and Clark Memory/Time Capsule Box?

We are making a Lewis and Clark memory/time capsule box but aren’t sure what to put in it. So far we have beads, jewelry, and peace tolkens which they carried on their trip as well as a few journals. Does anyone have any other ideas? We are also thinking about making a small keelboat model representing the one they used.

How about maps? Some could be by other people, of known territory, and some could be the ones drawn by the L&C party as they explored.

Any medicine or home remedies they might have used back then perhaps?

Some dirt from the Oregon Trail, if you live near it. I’m in Boise, and it runs right past my daughter’s school, right through town, so I probably think that’s easier to do than other people might!
