Nickel Scarce

What resources is the Earth low on?

We all know we are running low on most non-renewable energy sources, but since we are slowly working our way into using renewable energy I’m wondering what else we may start running out of when(if) we are using ~100% renewable energy. I know we have lots of iron and nickel in the earth, but there are so many other important resources that I know absolutely nothing about. If you know some resources that are becoming scarce, please list them and explain why they are important.
I don’t care about the whole energy arguement… I want to know about raw materials. Are we going to be able to make computer screens, solar panels, nickle/cadmium batteries, etc for the next 500 years? How about plastic, will we ever run out of that?
