breaking down all the stereotypes in this video, and bridging the gap between reining and dressage. certainly not the classy perfect dressage we’re used to, but it looks like theyre having a blast.
LQ, Do you think more shows should be focused around fun rather than perfection?
Yah it should definatly be focused on FUN.
But today- too many people are focused on looking good. even if that means tying the horses head down- yanking it on the bit, and all that cr@p. Thats not fun…..but people would rather look good than have fun.
So I think it should be perfection- judges need to FIND and RECOGNIZE the horses that havn’t been tied down for training. havnt been forced into a low head set, having been see sawed onto the bit. Perfection is the true test to find the horses and riders that truly have worked their butts off…rather than the cheaters. So a horse show focused on perfection- recognizes the amazing riders and horses. and that is what the horse world needs. RECOGNITION FOR GOOD HORSES AND RIDERS. plain and simple.
