Mixed Copper
Is copper and steel mixed to make the “copper” bits you see at tack stores?
Copper alone is too soft to put into a horses mouth… if you have ever seen pure copper is very soft and you can bend it with your hands…
Most bits are a copper steel mix, however some can be mixed with different metals… like iron – to make a sweet iron bit…
