Is it okay to chop fresh mint the day before serving?

I am making a fruit salad for brunch tomorrow that has a lime-honey-mint glaze, but I’m trying to prep as much as possible today. I was planning to wisk together the glaze today and refrigerate overnight. Will it greatly reduce the quality or flavor of the fresh mint if I chop it today?

I would add a bit today to get the flavour, strain it out s it will darken like cilantro, and add the rest into the salad as you mix it for a fresher and green appearance.
