What solutions do you use to clean bathroom fittings ?
What kind of cleaning solution should I use to clean the steel bathroom fittings like taps, hand showers etc. I want to get the lustrous(silver/aluminium)) surface back on the fittings. What do you to remove the green colored patches on the fittings ?
I need the name of the solution not just product names.
You will need a lime/calcium remover (not clr). Lime Away, Tilex has one too or any other one for lime removal…spray allow to sit a few minutes..wipe with damp rag..repeat till it is removed. It sounds like there is quite a bit of build up so it will take a couple or more times to remove this, and if this has been left too long, there may be some corrosion that has eaten the metal away underneath all this.
