Anyone know about this medal/coin?
This is a 1878 Birchant Lincoln Medal….K-854. I have no idea to this day where to locate it in books or the web. I was told by NGC it was a very rare medal and they stopped listing it because of this reason. LMK what you think or if you have seen others.

Man, that is a tough one–it looks like half the links that google turned up were places where you tried to find the answer, and the other half weren’t any good.
I’m going to suggest you go to the “Coin People” website at http://www.coinpeople.com/ You’ll need to register, but it’s free, and they don’t spam you. Then, you’ll need to go to the “exonumia” forum, and you can try posting your question there, where there are people who are experts when it comes to medals.
