Lincoln Copper

I have a 1978 siver penny. I am guessing its copper it weighs 3.11 I am searching for answers please respond.?

This has been asked before and you will not get the answer you want. It has been either zinc or silver plated and if slippery and very shinny then it has been coated with mercury. it is not a mint product period. You only have a damaged 1978 cent. Most plating is so thin it adds little weight. The plating may make up the weight lost from being in circulation, before being plated. I am sorry no one can tell you what you want to hear or read.
