Lincoln Coin

why is the lincoln coin facing the opposite dirrection from others?
Because it was based on a portrait that had Lincoln facing that way. There’s nothing special about the direction of each portrait, it just worked out that way because of choices made by each artist. It’s called artistic license.
Note that the new nickels have Jefferson facing forward, and Sacajawea dollars have the famous guide facing in a 3/4 pose.
