should it be illegal to buy organs donated willingly?
Recently, police in India busted a number of hospitals and doctors and confiscated kidneys purchased from donors and sold to wealthy recipients. The donors were poor laborers who willingly sold their kidneys to wealthy recipients.
Do you think it’s fair that the rich may use their money in such a way? Or are the police interferring with their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness?
Um, ok, I apologize for my wording. Instead of “donating” I should have used “sold”
I think if it’s obvious that a pregnant woman has the right to do with “her body” when the subject is a fetus, it should be a no-brainer that any person anywhere should be able to dispose of a kidney as they choose.
