Lettering Pcgs

is a 2007 wahington FIRST DAY OF ISSUE DOLLAR missing edge lettering in ms66 pcgs rare?
is this coin rare? and is the price of this coin going to go up in value?
There were quite a few of the Washington dollars without the edge lettering and the values have dropped as well as companies advertising them. That must mean that people that wanted them have them and the rest don’t want one or actually do not collect that type of coin. MS-66 is not a real high mint state grade and is common, the bit about first day of issue is still up in the air with collectors, most will not pay extra for it. The reason being it was picked up the first day out, but it may not be a first struck coin, the mint stock piles the coins. The term is actually meaningless. I do not expect it to go up in value, there are more than enough around that are not selling. they seem to be selling below the $90 mark so dealers are paying 40% or so less.
