Jefferson Keelboat

Keelboat Lewis and Clark 2004 Nickel?

I have a Keelboat Lewis and Clark Nickel that is copper colored(?). The mint letter seems to be an “FS” or “F5″ below Jefferson’s neck. What is this coin worth?

The mint mark is just below the date . The FS is the initials of Felix Schag who design the original Jefferson nickel in 1938. The obverse used that year was the old one but it had the special keel boat reverse. The 2004 and 2005 Jefferson nickels were part of the Westward Journey commemorative nickles. The copper color must have come from the coin being near some chemicals for the nickels are a sold thing not like the clad dimes or quarters. Some of the nickels were also gold plated outside the mint and some one could have also copper plated on. Maybe a science class project. It was not done at the mint but after it lest there, the coin is considered damaged by collectors. It is worth 5 cents.
