1939 LARGE SILVER PENNY-Georgegivs VI D:G:BR;OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP.?

I found a large silver penny, the front has a mans face(resembles a thin young kennedy head) on the reverse side a man is seated, he looks like he has Roman type clothing on. He has a helmet and a 3 tine pitch fork looking staff. The coin has a small hole in it (at the top) I also have one that looks copper, same date, no hole. Cant find any info yet on it.

They are pennies from Great Britain. The one with the hole in it was silver plated and was made into a jewelry item such as a necklace. The other is the way the coin should be bronze. The 1939 penny had a mintage of 55,560,000 so it is not rare. The person on the reverse is a woman and is Britannia a symbol to the British people, much like the use of Liberty here in the USA. It goes back to Roman times. The coin that is not damaged sells for around .25 to .50 cents in a coin dealers world coin box.
