Why Dengue virus standard strains have to be Hawaii/1944, NGC, H-87, and H241 for DEN1,2,3,4 accordingly?
Why Dengue virus standard strains have to be Hawaii/1944, NGC, H-87, and H241 for DEN1,2,3,4 accordingly?
As every paper uses these strains. But still, I don’t know why.
Maybe the medical society decided together on this, so to have the same standard?
Any reference paper citing about the standard please?
Normally people use one strain arbitrarily and everyone just follows suit. Those are probably the first sequenced strains.
