Half Good
Can anyone recommend a good half bottle (or smaller) of red wine?
I don’t normally drink red wine but I’m sure its because its I haven’t found one I like yet. I’m determined to find one I do like but am loathe to buy full bottles just in case I don’t like them. Can anyone recommend a good red wine which I can buy in a half bottle or those single person servings that you can get from the supermarket?

You can always try wine when you’re out at dinner or having a bunch of friends over, that way you don’t waste a big bottle (you either buy a glass, or share it with friends!)
I don’t have any specific brands to recommend, but in general I would recommend Shirraz or Merlot. They’re very gentle red wines, not as intense and bitter as a Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot is a little too sweet for my taste, but a Shirraz is about perfect.
