Woodlice experiment (kinesis) – why were 2 rapidly running around the edge of the choice chamber?

I carried out an experiment to investigate kinetic response in woodlice. I had a choice chamber – half humid, half dry. After putting the choice chamber with some woodlice into an incubator for some minutes to see which chamber they chose, I found two rapidly running around the edge, in a circle around around and around… looked rather weird and crazy! Anyway, WHY might they have behaved that way?
