Half Bell
What size kettle bell should I begin with?
Im 20, male. Im just over 6ft and weigh about 80kg. I was wondering what size kettle bell I should begin with as I don’t really have the money I need to get this right. I play football every weekend and have gone through phases of lifting weights in the past, but not for about half a year. The internet has been very contradictory over the size I should be starting with so please give me some good advice!
well it’s hard to say without knowing your proper lifting habits, but i would hazard a guess at 16kg which most men do, you will find that after a month or to some of the exercises and drills will seem easier, but with that in mind, you starting off in 20kg/24kg is not going to happen. so get a 16kg, it will become one of your important pieces of kit, as your strength builds and you buy more heaviers ones in the future, you will still use the 16kg for the purposes of warming up, and doing more difficult exercises like windmills, snatches, pistols. if you feel like mayube your strength isn’t all there, don’t be afraid to get the 14kg to start off light and perfect your form first. currently i have a 14kg, 16kg, and 2 x 20kgs, looking to include the 24kg to really melt the fat for summer
