can i use a large highlighting kit to dye my black hair to blonde?
a few nights ago my mom used a highlighting kit to dye my bangs blonde from black. it turned out pretty good with barely any of the orange.we did leave the dye in for a long time to, but it didn’t hurt my hair any that i can see. i was wondering if i could use a large highlighting kit to dye the rest of my hair. can i do it?
I don’t recommend, ever, using over the counter bleaching or coloring systems.
You can try to lighten your hair blond, but your hair could turn orange (even though your bangs didn’t). Just make sure, if you are going to try it, to leave it on an adequate amount of time. You might use a violet shampoo afterward to cut the orange tones if there are any.
I recommend going to a professional to do it!
