grade 8 history; who was george brown’s father & what did he do for a living?

please help, i need to know asap.
i was wondering if he influenced george brown to be a journalist maybe his father was back in the day kinda thing..

all i know was that he and his father immigrated to Canada after they managed a printing press in New York

the fact that they managed a printing press together may have influenced him to be a journalist
