Women And Hair Loss Are Not A Good Mix
While there are some men who like being bald, women don’t. To put it more simply, women and hair loss don’t go together. A woman is expected to have beautiful long hair. Once she encounters hair loss, it can be a traumatic event for her.
Many people think that it is only the men who are capable of getting hair loss. But in fact, even women can encounter it. Once it happens to men, it is not considered a big deal and can even be joked as a sign of getting older. However, when women get hair loss, it can affect their whole personality.
For women, hair plays a significant role in her life. This can portray not only her self-image, but also her sexuality. For this reason, a lot of women tend to cry when their hair has been cut off the way they didn’t want. What more will women do if they encounter hair loss?
One of the most common reasons why people can start losing their hair’s density is aging. But aside from this reason, women can also encounter hair loss when they are pregnant. In most cases, pregnant women tend to discover that their hair has become thicker. This is because there is a belief that the hair follicles of pregnant women are more active in producing hair fibers.
However, after giving birth, these women can experience an increase in hair loss. This is a result to the changes in the body’s hormonal levels. While this can be a distressing discovery for the new moms, they will be pleased to know that there is still a few underlying illness that their hair growth will once again return to its normality.
Apart from being pregnant, there are also some women who encounter hair loss during the time they take some contraceptive pills. While there are some positive changes these pills can bring, they can also cause hair loss to some women. This is because these contraceptive pills normally contain a high amount of male hormones. Moreover, this does not mean that every single woman taking contraceptive pills will experience hair loss. It only tends to occur more in women who have an inclination to this occurrence.
Women and hair loss are definitely not a good mix. When a woman gets hair loss, her self esteem gets lowered. This affects her attitude, outlook in life, and even her work.
