Gem Frosty
Frosty reverie, what do you think?
A patina of frost shimmered and glossed
o’er withered leaf and blade
grey shadows held sparkle from being lost
as sunlight speared the glade
Faint memories of moonlit reverie
stars cast on earth at night
celestial dust like pale glittering sea
gems melting in dawns light
A dream that flutters like a startled bird
fleeing from a fright
a tune forgotten soon after it’s heard
an image lost at sight
And so autumns nightly diamond robe
lost in the blaze of sun
comes alive beneath nights silvery globe
a dream when day is done
