any good quality free music recording computer programs?

I’m using a Korg m50 and right now to put songs on my computer I record with GoldWave but unfortunately the sound quality sucks I’m just wondering if there’s any good quality music recording programs that are free that I can put on my computer?

Recording levels and sound card quality also need to be considered..
There have been comments that Audacity is rubbish yet I’ve used it to record demo CDs for bands.
Guess it depends how you use it.
